Solidworks/Autocad Draughtsperson - MUST have Solidworks
Our Client is looking for an SolidWorks Design Draughtsman in the Epping/Chigwell area with Construction/manufacturing/joinery experience. You MUST have Solidworks experience and not just AutoCAD experience as this is used on a day to day basis.
This is a great position and open to any level from a graduate to an high level draughtsperson - personality and 'fit' within the Company is just as important as skills.
Due to the location of the company you also need to be a car owner as there is no public transport accessibility.
Job Description
To provide layouts, general arrangements and detailed technical drawings on AutoCAD & SolidWorks in accordance with clients project specifications.
My Client has successfully built on its philosophy to design, manufacture and installs high quality innovative bespoke joinery including reception areas, door sets and wall cladding, on time and within budget. Dealing with a wide range of clients in the commercial, education, security and leisure sector. Many commercial projects, particularly in the City, demand a combination of high specification designs with a wide choice of finishes in order to meet the expectations of occupiers and to secure blue-chip tenants for building owners. Based in a rural location, with approx. 80 people factory and office based on site. This is an extremely fast growing company, where the pace is hectic and priorities change quickly. Many employees have been with the Company a long time and are passionate about what is produced and our customer service that is industry leading.
Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a hardworking, experienced, efficient and practical individual to join the existing team and will be based here in the main office. This is potentially an entry level role and training and support will be given to progress.
1. Liaise with Directors and Contracts managers to obtain clear specifications
2. Support the contract managers with necessary drawings from concept to handover.
3. Create detailed CAD/Solidworks drawings for production
4. Liaise with Manager to understand needs
5. Solve fabrication problems
6. Continuously look for and suggest ways to improve the process
7. Other duties requested by management in support of the Team.
This is a busy role, where multi-tasking and thinking on your feet will be critical. Strong attention to detail and a tenacious approach to follow up are required for success in this role.
Person Specification: Good CAD and Solidworks experience within a working environment. Knowledge and experience of the joinery business also essential. Individual may be required to liaise and visit clients as required.
Hours of work: 8am-5pm
Salary Range: Depending on experience and seniority
