Our client is a leading engineering and project services company who provide bespoke solutions across a number of marine related sectors. Due to recent growth they now require a Mechanical Design Engineer to work from their busy Northumberland office.
The Role
Familiarisation and efficient use of design tools (Autocad, Inventor, Ansys, STAAD, MathCAD)
Presenting technical proposals and designs at concept and detailed design reviews
Accountability for Quality, Safety & Fitness for Purpose of design work undertaken
Ownership & responsibility for technical completeness and demonstration of fitness for purpose of all design tasks undertaken
Producing hand calculations & detailed analysis as necessary to demonstrate fitness for purpose of all designs undertaken
Ensure high quality documentation, including calculations is produced and checked
The Person
Engineering Design & Development experience
Educated to Degree level, Engineering, as a minimum
Working towards full membership of a recognised Engineering body (eg IMechE )
Basic Pipeline Engineering experience
Multi-disciplinary design & Project Engineering experience
