OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT ROLES CATHEDRAL AND CATHEDRAL CENTRE, SALFORD
What we’re looking for:
The Diocese of Salford is seeking to recruit candidates for a variety of posts to support the ongoing management, operations and maintenance across the Cathedral Church, Cathedral House and Cathedral Centre, Salford.
These are new or adapted roles to create a unified and integrated team, under the leadership of the Operations and Events Manager, to create and maintain a consistently high standard of support and hospitality to the various clergy, staff and visitors across the whole Cathedral campus.
Caretaker (x 1 full-time 35 hours per week, competitive salary and benefits)
The Caretaker will also work to integrate and unify maintenance support across the buildings complex. Working to the direction of the Operations and Events Manager, the Caretaker will work as part of a team to provide general caretaking support to the interior and exterior of the campus to ensure a safe, secure, welcoming environment and that facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in caretaking buildings to a high standard, using alarm and security systems. They will be experienced in DIY/handy-person duties and cleaning building interiors. Due to the nature of this role, a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative. They will work as part of a team providing support to the overall needs of the Cathedral campus to ensure the highest standards of cleaning and housekeeping. Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of Health and Safety within cleaning and support services are essential.
