We are currently recruiting for a full-time Account Manager, on a 12-month contract basis, to sell print and digital advertising solutions on this popular publication to businesses based across South East Kent including Ashford, Tenterden, Hythe, New Romney, Folkestone, Dover, Deal and surrounding areas.

We are looking for an experienced sales professional who has a proven track record managing regular client accounts. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio of products and understand what drives successful multi-platform campaigns.

You will be used to managing your time effectively, thrive on self-motivation as well as being a great team player. Experience in media, publishing, magazine or newspaper sales would be an advantage.

The challenging yet fulfilling role will really give you the chance to shine and develop existing long-term relationships to the next level. Alongside a professional sales approach, you must be able to communicate at all levels.

• * Proven media sales experience
• * Working knowledge of print and digital solutions
• * Strong B2B sales background
• * Proven track record in selling to SMEs/professional businesses
• * Excellent business acumen, able to converse well with senior contacts
• * Ability to build networks at functions and through social media
• * Advertising/marketing/local media knowledge or background
• * Preference to win new business and create own leads
• * Ability to work well with editors and business writers
• * Ability to create inspiring campaigns and advertising solutions

SALARY, BONUS & BENEFITS

• * Basic salary of up to GBP23,500
• * Company car, laptop and phone
• * Achievable monthly commission structure and on-target earnings of GBP8,400 per annum
