The Senior IT Support Engineer Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our growing technical delivery team for an experienced and motivated Senior IT Support Engineer. The individual will represent us by providing onsite IT support and project delivery for customers based in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey & West London. 

You will need to demonstrate a high level of technical skills coupled with great communication and customer support experience. The role is based onsite at our major customers and also within our head office located in Windsor, Berkshire. The ideal candidate will be located somewhere in the East Berkshire area. A driving license and access to your own transport is required – a generous mileage allowance is paid for business travel. All candidates will be required to be DBS security checked.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technical expert to gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and work within a fast-paced environment with the full support of our consultancy that has over 20 years' experience in IT service delivery.

Technically you will need a minimum of two years' experience in a commercial IT support/projects role and ideally a degree or technical qualification in a relevant field. Candidates with recent Microsoft technical qualifications will be highly regarded.

+ Basic Networking; Firewalls / Basic Routing / NAT etc.
+ VPN Technologies
+ Telephony Exposure 

Desirable skills:

+ Network switching 
+ SonicWall Exposure
+ MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017
+ Clustered Hypervisors (VMWare / Hyper-V)

Relevant Qualifications (any of below would be great):

+ Degree Level IT Qualification or demonstratable equivalent industry experience
+ Microsoft MCP/MCSA
+ SonicWall SNSA/CSSP
+ Professional Body Membership; BCS / IET

General:

+ 2+ Years in client-facing hands-on technical role
+ Excellent verbal & written communication skills
+ Positive / can-do attitude & confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels
+ Confident and outgoing
+ General passion for IT & technology

Package:

+ £35,000 per annum
