Part Time Duty Manager
Kingsdale Group manages property on behalf of private residential leaseholders. Our aim is that every development we manage is attractively presented, well maintained and staffed by friendly, helpful and efficient people. We want each development that we manage to be a source of pride to those who live there.
We now manage some 2,200 units on over 50 developments throughout England, of which over 1,600 properties are managed on behalf of retired home-owners.
Queen Anne Court is a modern luxury retirement development comprising of a total of 41 apartments and 9 bungalows. There are lovely communal areas including a restaurant, hobbies room, landscaped gardens and conservatory.
What will this role of Duty Manager entail?
As a Duty Manager you'll direct and supervise the work of General Assistants and Cooks to ensure the smooth running of all of the day to day functions of Queen Anne Court.
All members of staff have a responsibility for developing a good community spirit throughout Queen Anne Court and to help owners lead as fulfilling a personal and social life as they wish. The social programme at Queen Anne Court includes coffee mornings, bingo, keep fit classes, fish and chip suppers and quiz nights, all of which you'll help coordinate and participate in.
You'll work closely with owners to assess their requirements for tasks such as domestic cleaning, local shopping and laundry and ironing and then allocating appropriate General Assistant time accordingly.
You'll consult with the General Manager and Cooks to make sure that the weekly menus provide varied and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks, and that all meals and refreshments are served to professional standards.
Queen Anne Court is located in Quedgeley on the outskirts of Gloucester, approximately 30 minutes from Bristol and Cheltenham and easily accessible by motorway (is within 3 miles of the M5).
What will I need to be considered for this Duty Manager role?
* Proven experience of delivering excellent customer care gained within the hospitality sector or a customer focused business
* Ability to remain calm in an ever-changing environment
* Passion for delivering the highest standards of customer service
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
What will I receive in return?
As a Duty Manager at Queen Anne Court, you'll receive a salary of GBP25,245 (pro rata, equivalent to GBP17,672), which is inclusive of a GBP50 per night sleepover allowance. You'll also receive an enhanced pension scheme and have all your meals provided whilst on duty, including a three-course lunch / dinner.
Additional overtime pay is also available when covering sickness and holidays of other duty managers.
Contract: Permanent, working part time on average 24.5 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am and 9:30pm, on a 7-day, four-week rolling rota which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
You will work a shift rota and sleepover twice a week on average, which is essential.
