Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with Wakefield Council to appoint several Family Support Workers to their teams. These roles are on a full time, agency contract for a minimum of 3 months which is highly likely to be extended on an ongoing basis.
The working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 with the roles offering a rate of pay of GBP17.50 per hour.
Main Responsibilities as a Family Support Worker (FSW):
* Direct work with children young people and families.
* Statutory roles including;
* Working within legal frameworks Section 47s
* Completing direct work with children
* Attending multi agency meetings
* Supporting social workers to undertake statutory requirements
* Supervision of contacts Multi - Agency working with Police Services (Normanton Police Station)
We are encouraging application from a variety of Social Work Backgrounds including Family Support Workers, Residential Childcare Officers, Key Workers & Contact Supervisors who are looking to secure their next contract.
This would also be a fantastic opportunity for Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) who are looking to secure their first role within a local authority. Previous candidates have gone on to secure Newly Qualified role upon completion of this contract, further demonstrating the opportunities at hand.
