Our client is a specialist provider of financial education and guidance in the workplace supported by regulated advice for individuals.
They now have an opportunity for a 2nd / 3rd Line Support professional to join their team to provide day to day IT and telephony support to the Group and act as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk.
Within this key position, you will support users across the business from the installation and configuration of computer systems to diagnosing hardware, software and technical faults ensuring all internal policies are adhered to. Identifying computer and network issues, you will resolve support requests efficiently and effectively as well as recommending solutions and suggesting improvements.
The Person
With a Microsoft Certified Solution Associate qualification or equivalent, the successful candidate will have experience in a similar Technical IT Support position along with good knowledge of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of server and desktop operating systems. Good experience in the management of core Microsoft technologies and solutions (IIS, ADDS, RDS, DNS, WDS) is essential.  Experience of network infrastructure configuration including switch configuration and routing protocols is required along with Office 365 skills (Domains, Transport Rules, SharePoint, Dynamics).
They are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to converse with technical and non-technical employees. The successful candidate must have a responsible attitude towards IT security and data protection. Experience of Telecoms systems is desirable, but not essential. The role will require a flexible approach to work with a commitment to working outside of core hours as and when required.
