About the role:
Our Client is looking to appoint a Policy and Partnerships Officer to join them to help deliver their vision of a prosperous UK without poverty!

You will work within the housing specialism, developing credible policies and solutions which will have a real positive impact on solving poverty. You will work with colleagues across the organisation and help find and build exciting partnerships with others. You will support the development, piloting and testing of innovative approaches to policy and solutions to reduce poverty through increasing access to decent, affordable homes.

Millions of people are locked in poverty in the UK. They don’t believe that’s right. That’s why they’ve made it their mission to solve it. Their new strategy is to work alongside others to build public and political will for change and deliver solutions to poverty across the UK.

About you:
As the successful candidate, you will have a strong interest in housing policy and practice and knowledge of UK poverty and related policy areas. You will have a passion for what our client does and experience of monitoring, evaluating and implementing change based on data and user evaluation and analysis.

Whilst housing knowledge would be beneficial, it is not essential. An interest and understanding of poverty and of one or more of their core areas (work/social security/housing) is required, as is having the ability to quickly build up knowledge. A team player with excellent communication skills and strong political sensitivity, you will have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including people with experience of poverty and senior and influential individuals.

About us:
Our Client is a social change organisation with a 100-year history. They are built on trust, show they care, and exist to make a difference.

They work with others to put forward sector-leading research, evidence, solutions and stories to the UK’s influencers and decision-makers.

They believe that a prosperous poverty-free UK is within reach - they just need more people to believe it too.

To make their vision a reality they need talent, ideas, skills and passion, plus we need to change some of what they do and how they do it. So, they’re embarking on a significant period of change - change that will see them become an outcomes-focused organisation that embraces new ways of working and modern practices.

If you share their passion, then they need to hear from you.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 17 February 2019

In support of their approach to flexible working they are happy to receive applications from those seeking full time employment, as well as those who may want to share the role on a part time basis.

When making your application, please state whether you want to be considered for either full or part time work and, if part time, the number of hours per week you would be looking for.

Our commitment to diversity:
They are committed to creating opportunities for under-represented groups. BAME groups and those with a declared disability are under-represented in the organisation and are positively encouraged to apply. They shall apply Section 159 of the Equalities Act 2010 in the recruitment process.

Our client are inclusive and are committed to giving everyone an equal chance to succeed. Applications are welcome from all regardless of age, gender identity, disability, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief, race, sexual orientation, transgender status or social economic background. They are also committed to making reasonable adjustments for disabled people.
