Our client, a highly regarded, not for profit organisation is recruiting a Junior Cost Analyst to support the business planning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the understanding of costs and the drivers of cost to support the effectiveness of commercial decision making.
The role,
??Create and manage log of all third party cost contracts.
??Build relationship and liaise with internal owners of third party contracts to ensure all updates are communicated to the relevant teams.
??Produce and maintain 'Actual Unit Cost Assessment Register' including the fixed and variable elements of agreements.
??Impact assess variability in volumes on the cost of operating services.
??Maintain and enhance cost models to support the business planning process.
??Provide detailed analysis and understanding of the drivers of cost and effect of key cost drivers on operating costs.
??Track performance of incurred cost against budget/forecast, investigate and explain variances and report findings.
??Identify and implement best practice modelling techniques.
Skills, experience:
??Experience in research and analysis.
??Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
??Ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
??Advanced Excel skills.
??Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
??SAP experience
