JOB TITLE: Assistant Warehouse Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: Negotiable dependent on experience

WORKING HOURS: 7.45am - 5.15pm

THE COMPANY: Our client is a Business to Business supplier of Janitorial and Chemical products. Currently based in Nelson they are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager.

THE ROLE: This is a varied role that is due to growth within the business This role combines a mixture of warehouse duties.

You will work within a small dedicated team and be responsible for the general running of the warehouse.

Experience in warehouse operations would be advantageous but not essential as full training would be given.

Other general duties will include packing, palletising, despatch, goods inward, wrapping and general upkeep of the warehouse.

THE CANDIDATE: The Assistant Warehouse Manager will need to have good written and verbal English skills. Warehouse or production experience is not essential but could be advantageous, having a counterbalance forklift licence is essential.

The role can be physically demanding, and you must be comfortable with this.

Above all you will have a good work ethic, you will work within a team that supports each other, you will be happy to help where you can when needed.

Key experience essential for the Warehouse Operative role:
  • Live within a commutable distance of Nelson
  • Counterbalance forklift licence essential
  • A fluent speaker of English essential
  • Experience in warehouse/production an advantage but not essential
  • Good level of reading / writing English
