We are Ciqurix, a manufacturer of cutting-edge fire detecting camera systems. Due to rapid growth in the UK market we are looking for an additional technical product engineer to join our team at our base in South Devon.
We are looking for a motivated, reliable and committed individual who wants to join an innovative and forward-looking company which values and respects its staff.
The role includes provision of high-level technical support on hardware and software issues, firmware upgrades, commissioning/programming of newly installed systems, and training delivery to our installation partners. It may also involve some electronic assembly, test, and occasional R&D work.
Are you the “go-to” person in your organisation for official or unofficial tech support? Are you the person that people ask about “computer stuff”? Are you the person who - when presented with a brand new and expensive piece of technology - will immediately take it apart to see how it works? If so then we want to hear from you.
Knowledge and experience of IP CCTV systems is essential, as is a working knowledge of networking including DHCP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, etc. Experience with soldering and electronic/ mechanical assembly would be very useful, and also an awareness of fire protection and security systems.
This role may involve occasional travel to customer sites across the UK and from time to time into Europe and beyond. Willingness to travel is essential, as is a full driving licence. Excellent verbal communication and a friendly professional approach is required, as you will be representing us to our customers and their end users on a daily basis.
In return we offer:
• A full-time permanent contract (after probationary period) • a salary of between £23-28k (neg. depending on experience) • car allowance • laptop & phone • a generous employee share bonus scheme • unlimited career progression opportunities • flexible working hours • unlimited holiday days (conditions apply) • the support and backing of a modern and dynamic company
