Vocational Rehabilitation Case Officer
21 hours per week
£23,345 - £25,000 per annum FTE (pro rata)
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our £2.1m Family Inclusion Project that will work with up to 500 family members across Leicester and Leicestershire who are furthest away from the labour market and may be at risk of social exclusion.
The aim of the Project is to provide tailored and flexible support to enable participants to engage with a range of support services and activities, including training and work experience opportunities, to help them progress towards and into employment.
You will be part of a team working with several organisations across Leicester City and Leicestershire to implement a flexible and responsive personal development and employability programme.
As lead officer, you will support GREAT Project participants to overcome their health barriers in preparing for work or training. Providing case management support to participants with mental health and physical health needs you will undertake assessments, develop action plans to support participants into work and training and make external referrals and signposting, whilst ensuring the maintenance of full and accurate written records of advice and guidance.
You will manage a caseload and undertake the necessary support including mentoring, confidence building and provision of impartial information and advice. Design and delivery of group and tailored 1-2-1 Health and Wellbeing workshops for participants will be a regular feature of your role.
This role requires a proactive and dynamic approach, excellent technical and organisation skills, a keen eye for detail combined with the ability to process detailed information, manage complex processes, prioritise and multi-task. Both project teams work with structured processes and to tight timelines and targets, so flexibility and a “can do” attitude are a must.
