Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Hertfordshire - but willing to travel

Joining this award-winning company as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be tasked with designing and developing designs for electro-mechanical equipment and their sub-systems in an R&D environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring various elements integrate and interact with each other as efficiently as possible
* Designing systems and sub-systems including predesign work such as brainstorming and requirements capture
* Evaluate and develop designs to ensure there are no clashes
* Apply design knowledge to improve systems, both in-house and with suppliers
* Provide advice and instruction to other areas of the business in relation to equipment designs
To be successful in this role you should have good mix of the following:
* Relevant Engineering qualifications - ideally Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar
* Good design skills and experience in Electro-mechanical production equipment
* Good skills in 2D and 3D CAD such as AutoCAD or Inventor
* Good skills in design engineering processes such as document control, CE Marking
* Willing to travel to sites across UK and potentially further afield if needed
