Client Accountant

Due to continued growth, the client a well-established Payroll and Accounting provider are looking for another vital hire in their accounting team. The main responsibilities for the Accountant are to help manage this continued growth, sustain their own book of Accounts and ensure strict compliance in followed throughout the process.

Responsibilities for the Accountant:

• You'll be responsible for the growth and management of your book of accounts - includes reporting back to directors.
• Managing your own portfolio of limited company accounts, whilst overseeing the general function of junior staff.
• Requirements surrounding the completion of year end accounts and tax returns, both personal tax and corporation tax.
• Maintain the database for up to data client info and new prospects.
• Dealing with client and contractor queries in relation to accounts/providing advice in relation to their business.
• Statutory Accounts preparation, CT600 competition, Corporation tax and double entry bookkeeping.

With this being a pivotal hire for the company, they're looking for an Accountant with the following experience:

• 1 - 5+ years working with limited Company Accounts - ideally operating your own book of Accounts.
• Up to date knowledge of cloud-based Accounting software - can be trained on the companies
• Experience completing the whole accounts process for a large client base from different industries, small limited companies up to SME scale.
• Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines, strictly regulated industries and deliver high-quality results.
• Ideally, will have either be working towards their AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA & MAAT qualifications, however, bringing the right person on board is more important, therefore qualification isn't important!

The role would suit an individual with Practice Accounting experience, particularly working with Personal Service Companies. A hard work ethic, eye for detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines are important in this role.
