Are you an experienced Middleweight UX/UI Designer?

UKAEA is the home to JET (the Joint European Torus) and MAST-U (Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak - Upgrade), with plans to operate both experiments in 2019.

Your job is to help create compelling and engaging digital experiences across all platforms.

In your role you'll need:
• A strong flair for creative front-end web design and interaction.
• To be fully competent with Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress.
• Excellent time Management and the ability to take ownership across several projects while reporting on project/s progression via a weekly report.
• To design, implement, test and maintain websites, focusing on front-end design, interaction and usability.
• The capability to work on multiple projects ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget.
• To convey your ideas clearly and concisely through presentations and annotations, both internally and directly to clients.
• Experience in HTML5 and CSS3 and with cPanel, domains and DNS (desirable).
• To deliver website design, landing pages and microsites for our clients.
• The expertise to update websites mainly using WordPress.
• To be able to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs to create a polished final product.
• To demonstrate a good understanding of the possibilities and limitations of technologies to create sites that will be the finished product.

It would be helpful if you have:

• Outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve problems quickly
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work well with all members within a multidisciplinary team
