Immediate temp/contract opportunity to provide expert HR advice to the chief executive and the senior management team, and assistance to deliver a significant organisational change across the business. You will be working proactively to build relationships with senior leaders to ensure the successful delivery of the new organisational structure on time and in budget. Starting immediately, you will be working on a full time basis, 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Your key purpose of the role will be to manage and deliver this essential project within the business, whilst working with and supporting a small team of HR business partners alongside the head of HR. In addition to this, you will be supporting with and managing projects that cover a wide range of HR subjects. For this opportunity you will ideally have an in-depth experience within large scale restructuring projects along with a good generalist HR and project back ground.
Key responsibilities;
*Act as the dedicated HR project manager to implement the organisations restructuring exercise.
*Engaging with staff, managers and trade unions; manage all phases of the project from consultation through to implementation and recruitment to the new structure.
*Work with senior HR colleagues in reaching satisfactory resolutions that sustain the reputation and manages risk; ensuring that the business adheres to current legislation and policies.
*Devise, own and manage the project plan, ensuring key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders.
*Clearly and concisely present and communicate regular project updates to stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner.
*Tracking and monitoring progress and escalating business risks where appropriate.
*Prepare and deliver formal and informal presentations on relevant HR matters to staff, unions and managers at all levels aimed at informing them of drivers and persuading them of the need for change, dealing effectively, constructively and diplomatically with feedback and challenge resulting from these discussions.
*Act as a coach for senior leaders in helping them fulfil their change leader responsibilities; assist with providing support and coaching to managers and supervisors as they help their teams through transitions.
*Working closely with HR colleagues to ensure smooth implementation and handover project activity to business as usual at the appropriate point.
*Undertake negotiations with Unison (and employee representatives as required), with support from senior HR colleagues where necessary.
*General HR project management and support
Key skills and experience;
*Senior HR professional with extensive experience of managing and delivering large scale restructuring projects
*HR generalist with experience of leading and managing a team
*Previous experience of managing multiple projects
*Ability to demonstrate the ability to support with and lead performance management, succession planning, capability, disciplinary, grievance, welfare issues, redundancies, sickness absence concerns etc.
*Knowledge of all current legislation and policies
*Experience of undertaking negotiations with Unison (and employee representatives as required) on policies and procedures relating to employment
*Able to advise on all aspects of employment law and terms and conditions of employment
*Can discuss and demonstrate a proven record of delivery
*Member of CIPD
*Competent MS Office user, specifically with reporting functions
*Must have a minimum of 3 years experience of working within an HR role at a senior level

*Politically sensitive and able to develop effective relationships

This is an immediate start for a fixed term period up to the end of June 2019, potentially longer. Your hours of work will be full time, 37 hours per week working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. You will be required at times, to travel and attend evening meetings.
