JOB TITLE: Front of House & Visitor Welcome Executive / Senior Shop Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP17,100pa rising to GBP19,000pa plus great benefits including a generous holiday entitlement and pension scheme and operates a flexible working policy.
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, including weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional evenings.

Our client is an amazing and unique attraction based in Wakefield capturing the hearts and minds of those who visit. Over 100,000 visitors join our client each year and in support of their mission to keep the stories of coal mining alive, they now seek a Front of House & Visitor Welcome Executive / Senior Shop Assistant who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You will join our clients Commercial and Retail Team to provide a warm, inviting and informed welcome for all visitors to the Museum, supporting them in way-finding and planning in order to maximise their enjoyment of their visit and optimise their dwell time. You will also promote and maximise the Museum's retail offer by ensuring the retail offers are on brand, attractive and relevant to the Museum's customer base, and encourage visitors to browse and spend.
Other general duties for theFront of House & Visitor Welcome Executive / Senior Shop Assistant role will be to provide a professional and efficient first point of contact for any telephone enquiries, maintain the shop to the highest standards, carry out stock rotation as well as promotional offers, and supervise and lead the retail staff.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Front of House & Visitor Welcome Executive / Senior Shop Assistant will ideally have previous experience in a Front of House/Reception area, or other similar role requiring you to meet and greet, and must hold excellent interpersonal skills and have experience in a customer facing role. You should have a warm and friendly persona and be able to work well as part of a wider team. You will ideally have supervisory experience as you will lead a team.
