Account Manager - Individual Protection

An exciting opportunity exists for an Account Manager to join the world's leading global financial services insurance company.

The position will be based out of their UK head office which is around a 5-minute walk from Brighton station. They possess a very strong culture where they work collaboratively and are continuously growing organically. Their core business is Individual Protection where there is extensive growth.

For the suitable individual, you will be provided with a panel of IFA's, mortgage advisers and tele-sales protection specialists that you will manage, up-sell individual protection products to and expand on.

Further duties & responsibilities:

• Apply market knowledge to identify and focus activity on contacts which deliver high volume/value
• Actively promote the products by demonstrating up-selling skills to existing customers
• Understand and have a high-level knowledge of the market and competitor's products
• Influence distributor decision-making through demonstrating a full working knowledge of the products
• Develop and agree a personal business plan for designated accounts
• Excellent call handling skills; to listen, build rapport, acknowledge and deal effectively and efficiently with all customer enquiries

Requirements:

• 2 years' experience within a financial services tele-sales environment as well as a demonstrated ability to sell, deliver and exceed sales targets
• A real desire to be on the phone and be self-managing, working towards an individual target
• Strong knowledge of protection products and their usage in the market
• An articulate individual, a strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to proactively develop strong relationships with customers
• Highly organised and driven individual who strives to continuously improve
• Financial service/customer service/protection qualifications desirable
