Reporter - Lincolnshire Live (12 months maternity cover)

Then Lincolnshire Live wants to hear from you.

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic reporter to work at for the Sleaford Target, the Lincolnshire Echo and our website, Lincolnshire Live for a period of 12 months covering maternity leave.

Based predominantly at our Boston office, you would take the lead in providing content for the newspaper and its website from the vibrant East Coast and Wolds patch, while working as part of a larger team on Lincolnshire Live and the Lincolnshire Echo. Our ideal candidate would be imaginative, organised, with an ability to generate stories and write clean, crisp and accurate copy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, thoroughly-researched, accurate and well-written news and sports content.
  • Write content in a way which engages and drives a digital and print audience.
  • Build strong contacts for story-gathering within local communities.
  • Be adept at social media to build audiences and communities and ensure that content is shared on social platforms.
  • Possess a thorough, up-to-date knowledge of media law and industry guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate would be imaginative, organised, with an ability to generate stories and write clean, crisp and accurate copy.

The role is suitable for a qualified senior reporter or a trainee looking to make their start in the industry. A competitive salary will be offered.

Applicants with and 100wpm shorthand would be preferred and access to your own form of transport would also be an advantage.
