Marketing and Events Officer (fixed-term)

We seek an experienced and hands-on Marketing professional to provide a minimum of nine months maternity cover. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall implementation of the existing Marketing Strategy and Marketing Plan. This important role covers all aspects of marketing to promote Murray Edwards College as an events venue.

Possessing an in depth knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Marketing, you will use your excellent interpersonal skills when attending networking events, negotiating advertising offers and interacting with people at all levels.

You are an enthusiastic, positive person that encourages a collaborative approach with the right measure of assertiveness and diplomacy, who can troubleshoot and provide solutions where required. The role requires a level of lone-working, as the only member of the team responsible for marketing, and therefore the ability to self-motivate is key. Attention to detail is vital. Experience in the events industry would be desirable.
