Development Administrative Officer, Alumnae Relations (fixed-term)
Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, is seeking is seeking a Development Officer to join its Development team in the role of Administrative Officer and Alumnae Relations Officer. This is a fixed-term role, covering a Maternity leave period. The role is part-time, working 30 hours per week.
The post will be the first point of contact for all College Alumnae, and will also be required to maintain regular contact with Alumnae. The post holder will play an important role in delivering Alumnae events and activities, such as weekend gatherings and meetings of alumnae representatives.
The post also provides assistance to the Development Director through pro-active diary management, support with correspondence and meeting papers, and other ad hoc administration.
A significant part of this role will be general administrative assistance for the Development team as a whole, including handling incoming phone calls, the management of documents and office supplies, minute-taking and processing team invoices. Administrative assistance for Alumnae events, such as the preparation of guest lists, is an additional component, as is attending alumnae events (out of hours on occasions).
The successful candidate will preferably be educated to degree level or with an equivalent level of experience, and will have solid administrative experience, preferably including experience of working in Alumnae Relations. They will have excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills, a high IT literacy, the ability to pro-actively manage team diaries and team administration and some budget management experience.
We are looking for a candidate who displays good rapport, professionalism and discretion, as well as flexibility and efficiency, and the ability to solve problems. Experience of working with the database Raisers’ Edge would be a plus.

Interviews to be held on Monday 11 February with a desired start date of 12 March.
The likely length of contract is until the end of 2019.
Salary: £19,500pa pro-rata for the 30 hours per week (£24,480 FTE)
