About Us 

Community Motors CIC provides award-winning vehicle services to the local community in Kingston. Formed in 2014 as a Community Interest Company, we support our community by acting as a training platform for people to learn useful skills as well as providing clear, consistent vehicle advice and excellent garage services. 

We are now seeking an MOT Tester to join our team and help us continue to provide Kingston with its finest car maintenance, MOT and repair services.

Your Role 

As an MOT Tester, you will be tasked with undertaking a range of MOT test, repair and remedial work. 

Working in the MOT and servicing area, you will work across the five servicing bays and MOT test area as part of a team of five Technicians and an apprentice. 

As we are a training organisation, you will be able to get involved with providing training for apprentices and trainees, ensuring that your skills and knowledge are provided accurately so that their training is high quality. 

What’s more, for those who would like a more varied role, you will have the chance and the training required to get involved in diagnostic work. 

About You 

To be considered as an MOT Tester, you will need: 

- A relevant motor vehicle qualification at Level 3 
- An MOT test qualification 
- A full, valid driving licence 

Due to the nature of our business as a training enterprise, a DBS check (formally CRB) will need to be carried out prior to commencing your role. 

Other organisation may call this role MOT Tester, MOT Test Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Repair Technician, Mechanic, Vehicle Mechanic, MOT Mechanic, MOT Technician, or M.O.T. Tester.
