Complex Assembly Technician
* GBP14 - GBP15p/h
* 40 hrs base + premium O/T
* Day shift
World class manufacturer in to the Motorsport and Automotive world are looking for 2 skilled assembly technicians due to a recent expansion to their facility and a rapidly growing and very busy assembly department.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Preparing components ahead of assembly
* Stripping down, repairing and rebuilding complex automotive gearing and transmission systems
* Interpreting engineering drawings
* Provide technical feedback to the design department to ensure a smooth build process
* Participate in daily production process meetings
* Complete build documentation logging progress on an MRP system (Epicor)
* Ensure quality and health and safety procedures are adhered to
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following experience / background:
* You will have a strong background in a Mechanical assembly / Engineering / Automotive garage environment
* You would be used to utilising a variety of tools ie. Pillar drills / grinders / lathes / polishers
* You will have a passion for the mechanical and an interest in automotive/motorsport industries
* You can communicate effectively
* You are focussed and can appreciate the importance of attention to detail
* You are capable of creative problem solving
