Kangaroos is a registered charity founded in 1994, based in Haywards Heath which provides a range of fun, inclusive year round clubs and trips out, in and around Mid Sussex, for children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex medical needs. With the dedication of our staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters, we strive to enrich the lives of our members and their families. We do not let their disabilities hold them back and enable them, in a safe and supporting way, to participate in the majority of activities that we all take for granted.
The Communications Coordinator is an exciting new role, following on from an internal restructure. This is a part time role circa 16 hours per week. The post holder will have responsibility for raising awareness of the work Kangaroos does to three key audiences, young persons with learning disabilities and their families/carers, donors, and education, health and social care professionals, through the development of targeted external communications across a variety of platforms. The successful candidate will be highly IT literate and have an enthusiasm for communications work, and able to maintain a vibrant website and presence on social media.
You will work closely with all members of the Kangaroos team.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, interviews will be held during the week commencing the 11th February 2019.
