We are currently looking for a full-time Driver to operate the Harlow local bus service 381. This will run from Harlow bus station to Coopersale with the Bus being based at Greenways business park for pick up. These hours will be full time, 37 hours per week with additional pay being available for extra hours worked. The rota will consist of morning/afternoon or afternoon/evening:
Morning: 6am-3pm
Afternoon 2pm-8pm
1 Saturday every 3-4 weeks will be included too. Job share is a possibility.

As part of employment with Essex County Council (ECC) should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate. This is an annual subscription and you will be responsible for ensuring this is maintained. For further information on the DBS update service please visit:

You will require:
- D1 qualification on license, candidate will be driving a 16 seat minibus in a relatively rural area.
- Will be required to record passenger numbers, operate ticket machine and take fares.
- Knowledge and experience of driving a passenger carrying minibus would be advantageous.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle safety checks
- Good communication skills
- The applicant will be required to hold a pass certificate for the ECC minibus test before being awarded the post.
- The applicant will be required to complete an ECC driver's medical assessment (Note: The post will not be awarded until medical clearance is received)
- Able to transport passengers with a diverse range of needs.
