Assembly Team Leader
* GBP16 - GBP17p/h
* 40 hrs base + premium O/T
* Days
A World class manufacturer and supplier to the Motorsport and Automotive world are hiring a team leader for their assembly department to focus on improving production efficiency while mentoring talented team members.
The Job Role
You will be responsible for:
* Overseeing daily production meetings and reporting production information
* Monitoring departmental key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Promoting team Kaizen and 5s activities
* Conducting annual personal development reviews and providing regular coaching
* Managing machine maintenance and equipment calibration tasks
* Supporting quality control audits
* Aid the department with production and assembly tasks
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following experience / background:
* You are experienced in Mechanical Assembly or Mechanical Engineering
* You are familiar with utilising a variety of tools ie. Pillar drills / grinders / lathes / polishers
* You have experience with coordinating, motivating and organising various sized teams
* You have knowledge of Kaizen and 5S
* You are focussed and can appreciate the importance of attention to detail
* You are familiar with quality control processes
* You are capable of creative problem solving
