The Electronics Repair Technician Role:

As an integral part of the Electronic, Repair and Overhaul teams, responsible and accountable for the fault diagnosis and return to service of various mechanical products, ensuring that the finished product conforms to exacting quality and aerospace standards. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

+ Provide inspection and diagnostic fault finding of various Electronic products and final unit instruments
+ Assemble, test and inspect various Electronic products and final unit instruments, using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies and high level technical build
+ Undertake analytical fault-finding to determine the root cause and corrective action of failed products
+ Effective use and maintenance of systems and records to ensure service standards are achieved at all times (i.e. use of ERP/MRP, Database and IT systems 
+ Effectively interpret and utilize assembly and engineering drawings and specifications
+ Required to work in production environment to undertake and support assembly and test functions as required from time to time to meet business needs
+ Ensure finished products conform to quality standards to enable progression to inspection and release process

All successful Electronics Repair Technicians will be able to demonstrate:

+ Understanding/ willingness to participate lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes. 
+ Able to work to deadlines and meet performance targets.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to demonstrate dexterity and hand to eye coordination. 
+ Effective communicator (verbal and written) and PC literate – competent in the use of MS Office applications and databases.
+ Numerate and Literate – attainment of academic or vocational passes in HNC or (time served equivalent) or able to demonstrate necessary standard through job related assessment.
+ Able to calculate the tolerances within drawings, calculate test results against specification limits to check for compliant parts/products, this will require:
- Imperial to metric conversions
- Decimal to fraction conversions
- Basic mathematical calculations (addition/subtraction etc.)

As part of the selection process you may be invited to attend an assessment centre involving both practical exercises and verbal interview.
