We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Denton.
The Role
Responsibilities of our Warehouse Operative:
- Picking hazardous chemicals from storage locations identifying correct batch information.
- Operating reach truck and counterbalance for loading and unloading from storage areas.
- Maintain a clean working environment in your own work area, applying good housekeeping procedures across the Warehouse, taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Provide cover for other warehouse duties when necessary.
- Adhere to the Company’s Management System (ISO9001), Environmental Policy (ISO14001), and Health & Safety Policy & Security Policy.
Skills/Competencies Required:
- Fork Lift Truck License (Reach & Counterbalance) essential.
- NVQ Level 2, Warehousing & Storage or equivalent.
- Experience in chemical handling and hazard identification.
- Working effectively with colleagues to maintain a cohesive team environment.
- Able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively paying care & attention to quality of work.
Package offered:
Hours- 37½ hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm with ½hour lunch break.
Pay- £18-£20,000 per year (£9.23-10.26 per hour, over 21’s).
Bonus- Company performance related paid twice a year.
Pension- Group personal pension (company contribution of 7.5%, employees 5%).
Holidays- 24 days per year plus bank holidays.
