Reporting to the Building Services Contract Manager
Working for a multi-disciplined HVAC & FM Electrical company with a large amount of key clients. Working predominantly in Central London and the surrounding areas you will receive your jobs via app on smartphone and tablet, travelling to sites in company van
Role
To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to building services and to ensure all works are carried out and completed to the satisfaction of our client.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all planned and reactive tasks are completed to schedule
Produce clear and concise written reports and time sheets in a timely manner.
Identify any defects found to the Building Services Contract Manager and provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete the defects.
Skill Requirements
Have a good background in mechanical building systems maintenance regimes.
Have a good basic education, with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
Be a team player with a flexible and adaptable approach.
Have a sound understanding of current company and legislative Health and Safety, Environmental Impacts and Risk Assessment Procedures.
Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current operations department activities when requested to do so.
Hold a recognised mechanical services qualification.
Character
Able to work under pressure.
Must be physically fit and able to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg.
Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment.
Able to work at height.
Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
Must be flexible regarding working hours (a minimum of two weekends per month overtime required)
Must be available to join a call out rota.
Must hold a full UK Driving licence.
Essential Experience Required
Working to Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance Regimes.
Fault finding on Control circuits.
Knowledge of lone working requirements.
Must be able to conform to all required regulations.
Desirable Experience Required
Experience of Building Management Systems.
Risk Assessment and Method Statement trained.
Able to work outside discipline
Experience
Knowledge of delivering statutory maintenance obligations
Previous experience of working within a service and performance management driven environment.
Understands and applies appropriate employee legislation, safety, health and environment regulations
IT literate to intermediate level - CAFM systems, MS Office and Project
Will be able to clearly and aptly communicate professionally both written and orally.
To be a member of a relevant professional body.
