Job Description

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Fault finding, repair and commissioning of control systems & associated packages (including rotating equipment systems, etc) and development and deployment of retrofit systems. Including provision of all supporting documents and drawings as necessary based on client SDRLs and management of FAT and SAT activities
  • Offshore maintenance, surveys and condition monitoring of equipment
  • Working on and offshore, on short term ad-hoc projects, both independently and as part of a team

Skills & Training

  • Possess significant technical knowledge across a range of technical engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment application, from performance requirement to specification
  • Knowledge in the design, configuration, commissioning and fault finding of monitoring and protection systems typically used in the oil & gas industry for rotating equipment (e.g. Bently Nevada 7200/3300/3500 etc, System1, MetrixSetpoint; and legacy Ruston, Solar and Dresser Systems)
  • Skills in system commissioning and testing in an offshore environment

Experience

Must:

  • Be degree qualified in a technical discipline
  • Have experience working in a similar position
  • Hold up to date current offshore certification
  • Have experience working offshore
  • Be willing to mobilise offshore at short notice, on an ad-hoc basis
  • Have basic computer knowledge and experience using MS office packages

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of ATEX regulations
  • Small bore tubing qualifications
  • Experience with engineering software packages (e.g. MatLab, Labviewetc)
  • Familiarity in the use of data collectors and inspection equipment (including: VibXpert, Ultraprobe, Zonicbook, Ultrasonic flowmeters, Flir P & T Series Cameras, Strainbook, B&K Sound Meters, etc)
  • Familiar with a large range of sensor calibrators, including wobulators and shakers
  • Experience working in a small company
