A leading commercial business with head offices in Essex are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager with a strong generalist background and people management skills. Reporting into the HR Director, this newly created role will effectively manage and develop the HR function and provide support to the HR Director on the people strategy and projects. A commercial approach and strong stakeholder relationship management is also important to have in this role.
Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to include:
- Leading the Human Resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business.
- Implementing development plans; identify areas that need attention and improvement.
- Managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns (including trainee schemes).
- Managing all company benefits.
- Overseeing the company payroll and processes.
- Implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes.
- Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
- Working with senior managers, coaching them and advising on all people issues.
- Dealing with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge.
- Experience with TUPE, restructuring and organisational design is highly desirable.
