QUALITY ENGINEER (NPI) - AUTOMOTIVE:

Buckinghamshire

GBP30k - GBP40k

I'm looking to recruit an NPI Quality Engineer for a market leading tier 1 automotive manufacturer supplying into prestigious OEM's such as Porsche and Mercedes AMG to name but a few.

As part of their long-term commitment to quality and continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to work in the Quality and NPI departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global business with opportunities to progress within the group.

Banbury, Bedford, Bicester, Bletchley, Buckingham, Luton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Oxford and Wellingborough

THE ROLE: As an NPI Quality Engineer your duties will include:

  • Supporting the NPI Manager with the introduction of new products and projects.
  • Work to IATF16949 and customer specific standards.
  • Work closely with Porsche to capture their requirements.
  • Ensure all aspects of Maturity Level Assurance (MLA) are completed within the agreed timeframe (MLA has 4 times more depth than APQP).
  • Utilise core quality tools such as SPC, Control Plans, and PFMEA
  • Dealing with customer concerns
  • Deploy Ishikawa, 8D and 5Why to identify the root cause of errors
  • Conduct internal and external audits
  • Implement Continuous Improvement Processes

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal NPI Quality Engineer will have:

  • Previously worked in a tier 1 automotive environment
  • Worked with German customers
  • Working knowledge of MLA or BEOn
  • German speaker (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of moulding or lighting products
  • Previous experience working on NPI Projects
  • Working knowledge of VDA - maturity level assurance for new products
  • Excellent communicator across all levels
  • The ability to work autonomously
