Mechanical Design Engineer required for an industry leading manufacturing company who can provide an excellent opportunity to work on varied and technical design projects and receive an excellent all round package.

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will suit candidates from any mechanical engineering background who have experience developing and testing products. You will be encouraged to create and develop new ideas and present them to senior members of the team, any materials / composites knowledge will therefore be beneficial. You will work in a design team and liaise with internal departments' clients and suppliers on a regular basis.

The Mechanical Design Role will involve the design, development and testing on a variety of products for the aerospace, defence and marine sectors. You will create new designs and solutions to overcome issues with for products used in extreme environments. You will use Solidworks and FEA simulation to ensure all designs can function in their intended environment. You will use various materials in your design such as composites, sheet metal and plastics in your day to day design.

The Role:

* Mechanical Design of electro/mechanical products
* Concept designs with testing and continued development

The Candidate:

* Confident working independently and as part of team
* Experience with 3D concept designs and re modifications
