With primary responsibility for all PR activity for EMEA, the PR Manager will work closely with colleagues in the firm's in-house PR team and the firm's outside PR agencies. You will be tasked with strategically raising the firm's external profile and will assume responsibility for managing a PR Executive based in Leeds, selected EMEA PR agencies and other supplier relationships. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain strong media contacts with the legal media, regional media and sector trade media for which the role is responsible. Although this role is PR, it will have a heavy focus on writing. The role holder will proactively identify media opportunities, draft and canvass press releases, pitch story ideas and work to ensure maximum coverage of stories and the firm's work. Coaching and advising partners with press enquiries, you must communicate the firm's purpose and vision and draft copy and messaging for both media consumption and other channels. The ideal candidate for this role will be an adaptable team player, driven to engage with teams both locally and globally to execute PR activity. A creative and dynamic writer with superior proofreading skills and a high level of attention to detail, you will have a law firm background and possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and also be flexible and adaptable.
