Our customer, a specialist in AUTOMATION systems is looking for a DESIGN ENGINEER. This is a PERMANENT position in the Ferndown area and an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a forward-thinking company offering excellent career progression and a solid order book.
A brief summary of duties includes:
• Responsible for the design of Mechanical systems involving high volume and high quality design
• Design, detail and create bills of material with a team of Mechanical engineers
• Adaptation of existing designs to suit end user requirements
• Pure research and development of high speed mechanical packaging machines
• Providing technical support for existing and future systems
• Day to day Customer support with software issues
• System and documentation development for manuals and training
Relevant areas of experience:
• Experience in dynamic systems and mechanisms
• Solidworks 3D and good computer literacy
• Good technical mechanical understanding
• Can provide relevant experience that can be demonstrated.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17.00
Friday 08.00 to 12.30
Salary:
Circa GBP35,000 per annum - depending on experience plus overtime
