Commercial Pricing Analyst

Spring are currently working in partnership with a market leading organisation to recruit a Commercial Pricing Analyst in Northampton!

The Role
As a Commercial Pricing Analyst you will provide support to the category pricing team, helping deliver the best commercial decisions for the business. This will be achieved by the provision of accurate, consistent and meaningful insights which allow the commercial teams to drive performance.

The Responsibilities
*Produce reports which create actionable insight and help drive improved business performance
*Manage and own all data requirements to deliver price reporting, including competitor matches, sales and pricing data. Maintain the BI platform from which the data is accessed.
*Support the Category Pricing Team to develop and deliver key performance metrics which help the business understand category performance.
*Deliver reports for the monthly steering groups that provide the senior team with information which is easily understood and can be used to drive actionable insights.
*Continuously challenge current processes and recommend improvements to all aspects of reporting and analysis. Strive to improve processes and reduce time on data production so analysis becomes the key focus.
*Support the wider pricing function to improve the productivity of the team.
*Plan and manage small scale projects to support business initiatives or investigate reasons behind performance variances
*Be an active member of the team who seeks out new opportunities within the remit of their current role and has a willingness to work across all areas of the team to assist others

The Requirements
*Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills.
*You will have an affinity for data, confidently translating complex data sets into simple and actionable presentations.
*Your keen eye for detail and excellent commercial acumen means you will be able to handle the data to drive decisions and spot opportunities to add value and improve business performance.
*Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, SAS/R would be advantageous but not essential. Experience using Java Scripting & Python/R would also be a plus.
