A client of mine that are a global player and one of the UK's largest systems integration companies, within industrial automation, automotive, process control and security screening systems are looking for a Estimating & Proposals Engineer to join their team based in Bedfordshire.
The Estimating & Proposals Engineer, Bedfordshire will be responsible for working directly with customers to understand their processes and develop the best solutions for their requirements, working with our sales team to professionally represent the company at a customer, gather data, and ask the right questions to define a project, working with our engineers and designers to develop and quote cost effective solutions, recognising and understand the customer's needs, make suggestions for possible solutions, and quickly develop budgetary numbers. Accuracy is essential, typical applications are robotics, material handling & logistics, baggage handling, manufacturing, automation, controls, technology research / analysis and cost analysis and estimating.
The Estimating & Proposals Engineer, Bedfordshire will have knowledge of manufacturing Automation methods and processes, value for money and current market value, detailed manufacturing methods and costing, supplier base knowledge and an understanding of project costs - design, management, installation etc.
