Brakes National Accounts New Business Manager:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account New Business Manager within the Independent Growth Division, reporting into the New Business Controller. Location is flexible but with a preference for Midlands/North of England. The purpose of the roles is to win new customers within the exciting and dynamic National Account space and achieve and exceed the National Account New Business budget requirements. National Accounts is a key growth engine for the Independent business and we have a fantastic opportunity to further build on and develop our recent successful track record even further in 2019 and beyond. With a strong commitment to responsible sourcing - from Red Tractor accredited meat, poultry and fruit and veg to MSC certified fish and seafood, every product in our extensive range has been developed by our very own food development chefs or chosen with chefs and their customers in mind, making sure we deliver quality and taste with every bite.
Role responsibility & Key Accountabilities:

• To win National Account new business, with customers whose food spend is between GBP350,000 and GBP2m per year, via active prospecting and by managing a pipeline of prospect opportunities.

• To build relationships with prospect customers on your pipeline so that they see Brakes as their next supplier and approach you when looking to review suppliers.

• Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets in line with the National Account New Business budget.

• To work with the new business implementation team to launch new business wins.

• To be a proactive member of the National Account team by assisting development of business goals, objectives and strategic initiatives, and supporting colleagues as required.

• To liaise fully with all members of the National Account and company departments in the development of key customer contacts and business development.

You:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a new business development or national account role, with a successful track record in winning new business.

• Superb customer relationship and rapport-building skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.

• High level of negotiation skills

• Good commercial acumen and knowledge of the key profit levers

• Results driven

• Good knowledge of the Brakes business

You're naturally self-motivated and proactive with real passion and drive to deliver results. You are relentless in your approach & will seek out every opportunity, identifying and capitalising on your customers' requirements. Being able to demonstrate excellent results in a previous sales role within the food service industry, you will be on a mission to deliver the best solution and best experience for all your customers.
