Chase and Holland are excited to be working closely with a growing firm based in Sheffield. They are looking for HR Senior Officer, this is for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Being the central point of contact on UK and ANZ HR matters and to ensure compliancy with both local and global policies and procedures
* Handling all aspects of recruitment: guide and advise managers, coordinate and take part in selection processes and interviews, work on offers and negotiations for roles, build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies
* Managing employee relations cases such as disciplinary matters, grievances, absence and redundancy
* Providing support and coaching to managers in areas such as performance management, reward, absence management and conflict handling
* Coordinating and advising on learning and development requests
* Maintaining accurate employee records in the relevant HR systems
* Managing the HR budget for employee related activities such as the health and wellness programme and employee benefits
* Collate and provide monthly payroll information for the Finance team
* Contributing to improving and professionalising the European HR function
* Assisting the Human Resources Director in strategic projects
* Contribute to UK management meetings
Preferred Skills and Experience
* CIPD qualified or working towards/equivalent experience
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role
* Ability to build strong relationships with managers and leaders
* Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
* Professional and discreet with excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously
* Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
* A basic knowledge of Australian employment law is desirable but not essential
