Applications are invited for a qualified solicitor for the above mentioned post within the Legal Section for a temporary period (approximately eleven months) to cover maternity leave. The post is part of a small team of lawyers providing legal advice and litigation services covering Social Services and Education work. The majority of work will involve undertaking childcare cases and you will be required to conduct proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court, Family Proceedings and County Court. You will also be required to clerk School Admission and Exclusion appeals.
You must be entitled to hold a Practising Certificate and be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Advocacy experience although not essential will be an advantage.
The post is a full time and you will be required to work 37 hours a week.
