Applications are invited from qualified solicitors for the above position within the Legal Section.
The postholder will form part of a team providing legal advice and litigation services (civil and criminal) covering all aspects of the Council’s functions.
The postholder must be entitled to hold a Practising Certificate and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service (including attendance at occasional evening meetings when required). Knowledge and experience of local authority prosecution and licensing work, and also advocacy experience, although not essential, would be an advantage.
The post is full time and the postholder will be required to work 37 hours a week.
