An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plumber/Gas Engineer to work within our busy service department. You will deal with the operation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, repair and modification of domestic and commercial water installations, natural gas fired boilers, water heater and distribution systems and installations, internal and external drainage installations, rain water collection and disposal systems, providing the highest level of customer service, across the University’s estate.

You will have completed a formal apprenticeship & possess a City & Guilds certificate or equivalent and have a Domestic and/or Commercial Gas qualification. You will have post qualification experience along with excellent organisation, planning, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.

You will have access to a range of facilities on campus including shops, food and drink outlets and sports centre with staff discount available in some areas. As well as an excellent benefits package (including pension scheme and 21 days annual leave plus discretionary days and public holidays), you will receive a full induction and support to enhance your skills within the role.

This is a full time position. Normal hours of work are 38.5 per week Monday – Friday plus participation in an on call rota system.
