An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Electrician’s to join the Estates and Development Directorate. You will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, repairs and modifications of electrical systems, fire systems, boiler plant and controls, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, providing the highest level of customer service, across the University’s estate.
You will have a craft qualification equivalent to a City & Guilds Certificate (C&G236 Part 2) or equivalent, IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition and City and Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing or equivalent qualifications. You must also have post qualification experience and excellent organisation, planning, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
You will have access to a range of facilities on campus including shops, food and drink outlets and sports centre with staff discount available in some areas. As well as an excellent benefits package (including pension scheme and 21 days annual leave plus discretionary days and public holidays), you will receive a full induction and support to enhance your skills within the role.
This is a full time position. Normal hours of work are 38.5 per week Monday – Friday plus participation in an on call rota system.
