As a Home Delivery Driver, it will be your job to be the face of Whirlpool, delivering and installing both free-standing and built-in appliances to consumers homes across the Midlands. You will be responsible for providing a prompt, courteous and efficient delivery service of their appliances and also a professional installation service, all whilst understanding and adhering to all health and safety principles.
As this is a driving role, you will demonstrate good geographical knowledge and map reading skills. You will also demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours in order to meet customer requirements. You must ensure you are compliant with road and traffic regulations, including the law relating to tachographs and ensure that your vehicle is kept clean and tidy in line with health and safety and customer service principles.
For this role, it is essential that you have a clean Class C1 or Class C licence and have at least 2 years experience driving Class C1 or C vehicles. A multi-drop background in a customer facing industry would be preferred but not essential and due to the manual handling requirements of the role, you must consider yourself to be in good physical health.
You will be based at their depot in Raunds, Northamptonshire, delivering to customers across the Midlands. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days. You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave, a bonus scheme and shift premium, along with the option of overtime if available.
