Contract: TEMPORARY 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Salary: S5 £21,074 to £23,111

Required for March 2019, this large secondary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced and self-motivated professional to support our Catering Manager in the day to day delivery of our catering operation.  Responsibilities include the preparation and production of hot and cold food for NK Academy staff and students and our local primary customers.  This contract is temporary to cover a maternity absence.

You must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in food preparation or equivalent, hold a current basic food hygiene certificate, and be experienced in large scale catering.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to supervise a small team and work on their own initiative with minimal direction.  Experience of school catering would be an advantage.

The pace is fast, and you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise your own workload. This post will require you to work flexibly including some evenings on occasions.
