Our client is looking for an experienced IT Support Analyst to join them in Milton Keynes to provide first line helpdesk support to end users - assisting them with hardware and software problems over the phone, by email or in person.
In the role you will ensure that the IT Service runs at optimal level, ensure calls are resolved in a timely manner and keep users up to date with known issues. Carrying out out daily systems checks, pre-building PCs ready for assignment to a user and testing in-house systems where necessary, you will take responsibility for in-house system back-ups.
Maintaining a log of any software or hardware problems detected and supporting users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice, you will maintain under desk cabling, patching and power cabling, deploy Windows operating systems and set up New Starters.
With previous experience in a busy office environment providing helpdesk (telephone) support, you will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory and ideally Windows Server and virtualisation. We are looking for someone who is a good communicator who can carry out specific tasks with minimum of supervision.
With an understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration, you will have excellent problem solving skills and knowledge of basic troubleshooting methodology.
A full EU/UK Full driving licence essential.
