About the role

This role will join the Corporate accounting finance team specifically focused on supporting Global Marketing.

Key deliverables from this role will be to ensure accurate and timely month end reporting, to deliver an effective forecast / budget process and to build professional partnerships across the business to provide better value from the Corporate and Commercial Marketing expense base.

Expectations are that the candidate is a strong communicator and team player who has a proactive approach and appetite to grow and develop the role. The candidate should be able to seek different ways to solve problems and use technology to improve and develop current processes.

Key Principles

* Completion of month end processes for the Corporate expenses including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, analysis of variances against financial forecast/budget, replies to audit queries, account maintenance, Hyperion reports, SOX controls

* Preparation of Corporate expense annual budget and monthly forecasts in co-operation with the Finance Manager and budget holders. This will include; detailed review and tracking of compensation and headcount with the preparation of year over year walks and deep dive analysis of all key SG&A cost lines

* Ongoing development of processes, models and reports to improve accuracy and speed of month-end close and cost analysis of both Corporate and Commercial Marketing SG&A. Also, the development of reports and KPI's which will help to drive the F&H business whilst balancing the impact on Gross Margins

* Responsibility for the Royalties management and reporting as well as the payment of minimum guarantees and quarterly amounts due to Avon's brand alliances. Responding to ah-hoc queries from business partners as well as the preparation of other analysis as required

About you

Minimum A-level or equivalent in numerical subject, degree preferred

Minimum of 2 years business environment

CIMA / ACCA qualified & or studying towards

*

Spreadsheet modeling skills are essential and advanced level preferable
