Job Title: Warehouse operative
Location: Northwich, Cheshire
Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 1pm
Perpetual Partnerships are working with a family owned manufacturer client on their search for a Warehouse operative to be part of our client's site in their Cheshire Head Office.
The Warehouse operative will be assisting a busy, but forward thinking Purchasing and Operations team to maintain the flow of parts into the factory through to the shop-floor production lines. The ultimate goal is to ensure that products are delivered to our clients on time and to optimum quality. Of importance is an open-mindedness and willingness to provide colleagues with the highest levels of support and a genuine "help get the job done" attitude.
You will enjoy working in a friendly factory within a challenging environment, owing to the often-immediate requirement for information from our Shopfloor. A specific part of this role is taking Spare Parts requests from Sales Order right through to delivery to the client in a fast, efficient manner providing progress feedback to Customer Services throughout the process.
The role is stimulating, fun and you will achieve daily work satisfaction by ensuring that our Production Lines are running smoothly. You will be recognised for your impact in this role and you will earn a salary commensurate with your abilities and your contribution to the business.
Essential Competences / Attributes
* Good self-motivation and patient approach to tasks and colleagues
* Experience in a Stores/Goods Inwards environment
* Quick Learner and ability to retain information
* Strong organisational skills and a methodical manner
* Natural communication, excellent administrative
* Excellent computer literacy
The Role:
* Provide support to Customer Services completing all Spare Parts Requests.
* Provide support to the Stores, Purchasing and Production area, ensuring that the Stores/Goods Inwards areas are stocked and identified.
* Provide support in to the Despatch area when necessary, assisting in getting our Products out to the clients and Installation teams in a timely manner.
* Monitoring deliveries of parts to ensure that the correct internal resource is aware that their parts have arrived.
* Completing Booking In of all parts that come in to ensure that all systems are up-to-date at all times.
* A Fork Lift Truck license is essential to this role.
In Return, you will receive:
* Salary circa GBP18,178 depending upon qualifications and experience
* 22 days holiday per year, plus statutory bank holidays
* 2 years' death-in-service benefit from day one of employment
* 39 hour working week
