STAKEHOLDER MANAGER - AGRICULTURAL LIAISON
* BIRMINGHAM - PERM - GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 % ENHANCEMENT *
Description
As Stakeholder Manager, Agricultural Liaison at HS2, you will support the development of the engagement approach for agricultural aspects of the phase 2b programme including development of the technical quality specifications, standards and assurance for the agricultural and soil aspects of the HS2 programme.
About the role:
* Assist with protocol development with relevant agricultural content and assist with review of draft text for agricultural and soil, assessments and mitigation measures, ensuring the information is accurate and complete. This covers a wide range stages of design, including EIA, GI and detailed design.
* Support the agriculture and soil manager on scoping, tendering and project managing those route?wide activities undertaken by consultants, such as surveys and on?going design.
* Work closely with the delivery teams and other project elements including consultancy teams and other HS2 phases; assisting with the development, delivery and monitoring of appropriate engagement initiatives, providing support and guidance to ensure agriculture is properly integrated into the overall engagement approach.
* Organise and attend meetings with farmers' landowners and rural businesses and facilitate meaningful engagement with stakeholders including NFU, CAAV, CAV and land agents.
* Work closely with the Phase Two Environment team during continuing development of the route and provide input on agriculture and soil issues.
* Develop and maintain records that support consistency of approach across the phase 2b Lots and input relevant material to HS2 document control to ensure that a full audit trail of documents is available to the HS2 programme.
* Work with delivery teams to develop event materials that provide information to stakeholders with special focus on agriculture, to ensure stakeholders can make informed responses to consultation and assist with FoI and EIR responses to ensure that statutory requirements are met.
Qualifications
About You:
* Working towards chartership by a relevant body.
* Experience of communicating, project managing and negotiating with a wide range of Multidisciplinary stakeholders such as Agencies, Environment / Engineering specialists and external engagement with stakeholders including farmers, landowners and organisations including NFU, CAAV CAV, Defra and Natural England.
* Knowledge of agriculture legislation, policy and best practice guidance across a range of areas including agricultural and soil assessment and management.
* Technical expertise in agriculture; for example, the Agricultural Land Classification system, agriculture and soil inputs to EIA, and land restoration.
* Experience dealing with agricultural and soil issues on construction projects at the options, EIA, design and construction stages.
* Experience developing pragmatic analysis and mitigation strategies.
* Understanding of mitigation measure design and implementation.
